I am just very excited to be collaborating with Rita to make Prospero Tequila a huge success. She will incorporate her music, only if it feels authentic and appropriate. I believe, that musical artists, particularly someone like Rita, understand this creative expression better than most.īaltin: How would you like to incorporate Rita's music into Prospero marketing and branding?ĭanis: I will leave that to Rita as she is our Chief Creative Officer. The juxtaposition of these two women of different generations and backgrounds, yet each significantly accomplished in their respective fields, was a very powerful force from my perspective.īaltin: Talk about the recognition having a successful artist like Rita brings to the brand and why it is so increasingly important for brands to unite with artists?ĭanis: Prospero is a creative expression of authentic Mexico - its history, its rich art, its sense of place. She was genuinely inspired working alongside Stella Anguiano, our master distiller. Roy Danis: I really admired her enthusiasm and work ethic. "RIP To The BS" - Sofia Reyes, Rita Ora, Anittaīaltin: What makes Rita the right artist to be associated with Prospero? "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" - Cyndi Lauper Three songs that would definitely be on the playlist are: Ora: The perfect playlist is upbeat, full of life and makes you want to dance! It’s all about celebration and being the life of the party. My role involves myself and Roy working together, cooking up fun ideas to make this product flourish.īaltin: Obvious last question: What is the perfect playlist to accompany a night of drinking Prospero? The three songs that you should listen to? As a shareholder in this company, I’m personally invested and dedicated to seeing Prospero make a successful mark within the industry. Ora: For me, it's important to be more than a just spokesperson. I don’t want to give too much away, but my main objective in the year is to introduce a brand that I’m excited about and to make it accessible to consumers across the country.īaltin: How involved will you be as a spokesperson? For example, G-Eazy, who is a friend, works with Stillhouse and they had Stillhouse bars backstage at all his shows and he performed often with the canister in his pocket? How will you tie Prospero in to your music? This gives me an amazing opportunity to be hands on and really put my creative stamp on this partnership. Ora: As Chief Creative Partner I, along with Roy, oversee the marketing, creative and the content produced around Prospero. What would be the number one thing you would like to have accomplished at the end of your first year there? The shift in the marketplace has allowed myself, and other artists to be innovative across multiple platforms, which I look at quite positively.īaltin: Talk about what your role will be as a creative partner. For me, the more I grow personally and professionally, I realize how much I love the opportunity to express my creativity in so many different facets outside of the music industry. Music has and always will be my passion, as it is my outlet for expressing my personal thoughts and emotions. Ora: I believe it’s important for artists to always allow their creativity to flow in any medium they choose. Why do you think that has changed so much? Along with broadening the consumer base, my mission is to break the stigma of male domination within the industry.īaltin: One of the interesting things that exists in today's music space is it's almost unheard of for an artist to focus solely on music. I’ve faced similar obstacles throughout my career so the opportunity to work with a powerful woman carving her own path was welcomed. Ora: Considering the spirits industry is heavily male dominated, it has been inspiring to work with Stella as she is defying stereotypes in her field. The fact that they were also working with of the few female master tequila distillers in the industry, Stella Anguiano, really sealed the deal for me.īaltin: How exciting and gratifying is it for you to work with a brand that has a female distiller? Rita Ora: When I met Roy, who is such a veteran in the business, we had a similar approach and a shared vision on how to break boundaries and innovate in the spirits business. Steve Baltin: What was it about working with Conecuh that appealed to you initially? I spoke with Ora and Conecuh CEO Roy Danis about the partnership, Ora's role, breaking the male dominance on spirits and Ora's perfect playlist for a night of drinking Prospero.
